Club Committee

The UON Tennis Club, like most clubs, is run on the back of dedicated volunteers. Each year at the AGM, the committee is elected by the members. The purpose of the committee is to ensure that the club runs efficiently and strives to meet its goals. As is outlined in the club constitution, the goal of the club is to foster growth for the sport of tennis within the University of Newcastle community. This is done in through a number of avenues including club competitions and fixtures, as well as social events.

A lot goes on behind the scenes to ensure the club and its events run smoothly including frequent committee meetings, liaising with affiliated organisations such as NUsport and Student Central, strategic and financial planning, maintenance of social media accounts and continual record keeping.

Any member of the club is welcome to join the committee. If you're interested in giving back to the club and gaining useful experience about how a committee functions, consider nominating for a position at the next annual general meeting, or let us know in person at our comp nights.
