DESCRIPTION:Australian University Games Trials\n\nWe are looking for player
 s to represent the University of Newcastle at the 2017 Australian Universit
 y Games (AUG’s) held on the Gold Coast. The Australian University games wil
 l run from Sunday the 24th of September to Friday the 29th of September. Th
 e team trials will be held on Sunday the 7th of May.\n\nThe AUG’s is a team
 s based event\, similar to the Davis Cup. A standard tie between two teams 
 consists of three singles matches (each first to nine) and two doubles matc
 hes (also first to 9). The team which wins the most matches\, wins the tie.
  The UON will field a Men’s and Women’s team in 2017. Each team must have a
  minimum of four players and maximum of six players. Orders of play are at 
 the discretion of the Team Captains.\n\nThe social program involves themed 
 parties at popular night clubs each night (the entry fee to which is includ
 ed in the tournament registration). These events are of course not compulso
 ry\, although they are strongly encouraged!\n\nThe AUG’s can be an expensiv
 e event so please consider this before registering for the trials. Costs ty
 pically include: registration at $150\, accommodation at $350\, travel at $
 50 and other expenses at $150 (food\, purchases at social events etc.)\, th
 us totaling $700. Although these costs are simply estimations based on prev
 ious University Games\, please consider the financial aspect before trialin
 g for the games.\n\nThe teams will be selected on the basis of tennis abili
 ty during the trial session on Sunday\, May the 7th. The trial will commenc
 e at 9am at the Broadmeadow Tennis Courts (Topspin Tennis). A complimentary
  BBQ will be provided by the UON Tennis Club at the conclusion of the trial
 s (approximately 1pm). Players will be welcome to join the UON Tennis Club 
 Sunday Social which commences at 1pm also.\n\nTrial attendance is crucial. 
 If you are interested in trialing for the AUG’s but are unable to attend th
